2 years ago |I just bought this combination for around 390€ at an online dealer in Germany. It sells around 100€ more in most of the shops downtown where I live (Hamburg). At around the same price as Canon’s S95 I really think this camera is a winner.
Background: I needed a second body as I still have front focus problems with a new Panasonic Leica 25mm I bought for my FT body. I got a replacement lens, it’s better than the last one but still the focus ain’t right. Did I mention how much I HATE Panasonic? Again, I tested the lens on two different Olympus FT bodies and both show the same awful results. Focus is off by around an inch at minimal focus distance. Horrible. Well, anyway, this time I’m going to send in one of our FT bodies along with the lens and watch Panasonic’s service losers deny that there’s a problem with that lens. So I needed a replacement body that can serve as a second (smaller) body, plus I got that Novoflex adapter for my brilliant Minolta glass. Let’s see how that works out.

2 years ago |Have you tried 25mm F1.4 on E-PL1?
Tobias W.
2 years ago |No, since I haven’t ordered the FT to MFT adapter yet. I’m using the E-PL1 with the kit lens and my Minolta glass right now. I’ll probably order the FT adapter and the viewfinder accessory soon. I brought my FT body and the 25mm f/1.4 to the Panasonic service center again, this time describing the problem explicitly and providing example images with the camera. If they deny there’s a problem I am going to escalate this issue with Panasonic itself, maybe even contacting consumer magazines and such. My expectation is that if I buy a FT lens, it works on any FT body. That’s what a system standard is for. I’m pretty sure the lens might work on the E-PL1 with contrast autofocus, but that’s not what I paid for, isn’t it?
