4 years ago |yeah, S90 is ridiculously good in high iso. It actually match if not better than DSLR camera 1-2 years ago. Here is some test image that I shot with S90 a while ago:

4 years ago |S90 is very clean although on the soft side. not sure if its because of the NR
im not so much an anti-noise. i prefer sharpness and detail even if a bit grainy, ill just do NR myself in post-proc

4 years ago |It’s easy to have no noise, but no noise with detail is a different matter. The most difficult test is to take picture of a grass field. Wwith compact camera, there is always whashout parts, due to noise reduction, even at 100iso and corner softness is common. See samples at Steves digicams for instance.
