I read on seriouscompacts, someone announcing they got to play with the GX1. It too me a few moments to remember which the heck camera that was!

Matt
7 months ago |An auto lens cap by JJC is already available on eBay, by the way so it is hardly groundbreaking.

7 months ago |Good. The old lens cap was a pain. You can get 3rd party versions of this new one on eBay much cheaper.
Henrik
7 months ago |Is there a picture of the new cap somewhere? Does it make the camera deeper dimension-wise than the original solution?

I got an e-mail from Olympus yesterday with news about the lens cap, but also a special teleconvertor for the XZ1, that turns it into a 190mm zoom, f/2.5.
The thing looks pretty big, but interesting nonetheless.

7 months ago |It would be time that they announce a PEN with integrated EVF… Or a Pro-PEN…
Bob Bowné
7 months ago |Does anyone think the cap is U.G.U.L.Y.???..if not just downright silly looking. I believe that same cap is on the Ricoh GXR..and I had the same thought there as well. The G10 does seem likely to trump this camera. ….and now that I am sitting here all content with my MFT primes….Fuji may just blow me out of the water in February with its now interchangeable system. I would like to get some rumors on that camera!!!!!

7 months ago |Looks weird, transformer-like. On that camera, with the flash popped up and the VF stuck on top, looks too modified. Like a hood scoop on a Toyota corolla.

7 months ago |I have no opinion on how the cap looks, but with than EVF on, the whole camera is really, really hideous. Even worse than the PENs with EVF attached.

7 months ago |I have the XZ-1, but now I want a XZ-BIG; same-same but with a m43 or APS-C sensor and everything else a bit larger to match that sensor. Most importantly an equivalent to that great, bright 28-112/1.8-2.5 lens!
