Next detailed Olympus 9-18mm review on quesabesde
The spanish website quesabesde tested the new Olympus 9-18mm lens (google english translation).
Their sentences in short:
- surprised by the smallness of their size, both length and diameter (but it becomes very long when you are at 9mm)
- fast autofocus (compared with older Olympus MFT lenses)
- 9 mm shows a significant distortion
- best results working with an aperture of f/8
- almost no vignetting
- moderate CA (Chromatic aberration)

4 years ago |DPR recently also published a review on the 9-18 lens. DPR’s picture and test at 9mm also showed a hgh degree of barrel distorsion at the 9mm end and noted relatively high CA throughout? But overall very good marks & impression.
Give me a reasonable wide angle prime with no distorsion at a lower price and that would be my choice anyday.
