2 years ago |I’ve got to say this. I don’t understand what people think is shown with YouTube level postings of test footage.
I guess you can see if
a) if you can control exposure
b) depth of field
c) frame rate
But you can understand these things just from specs.
Actual quality of video is really not possible to determine from YouTube clips. All of these Youtube postings from all these video cameras is a waste of time, with the exception of perhaps head-to-head comparisons.
Maybe others get something out of these, but I don’t see it myself.

2 years ago |i played this 24p video while running civilization 5 on the background. So not sure if it is my pc in which i hope it is, 20mile/hour cars movements dont look good.

2 years ago |To me it looked as good as moving object could look at 24 fps – on YouTube.
Static viewing angle though is more of annoyance. Why there is no videos of hand-held shooting? I want to see the super-fast AF in action.

2 years ago |I had a gh1 for a week – the video was great; the problem I had was with the flash- no two exposures looked the same; Reds also were to bright and it gave me bags under my eyes and a shaving rash. It even gave my three year old red spots and bags under his eyes- does anyone else have similar problems?

2 years ago |Yeah I can’t understand for the life of me why there aren’t any clips on vimeo where you can download the original file, but that would be too useful then wouldn’t it?

1- See how the GH2 compares to the hacked GH1. Fail
2- See the quality of the footage. Fail
So, really, what’s the point in posting this?

2 years ago |Forget how useful the video clips where. The young man at the microphone was completely monophonic. I’m an auditory. I wish these companies would put someone forward for press conferences who has the technical and oratory skills. I realize that he did his best and that English is not his first language, so kudos to him for having the courage, but it was hard to listen to. That said, the youtube videos look good.

2 years ago |Nothing’s too wrong with the YouTube clips. Just double click on a video, let it open a new page, and then up-res the video to 1080P. I don’t think YouTube allows 1080P embeds, so you’ll have to select it on the official site for the HD clip to start rolling.

2 years ago |Yes, its 1080p, but it’s also Flash, which is terrible in compression.
Maybe view on an iPad, so it’s h264??

2 years ago |Dynamic range is not looking so hot… I’m also very disappointed that they were not able to include the global shutter with this camera. I think I’ll wait another couple of years for the scarlet.
