(FT5) New Olympus OMD entry level camera to be announced in January-February!

Share

Let’s start this new week with some brand new HOT rumors. According to multiple(!) sources Olympus will launch a new entry level OMD camera in very early 2014, right before the CP+ show in Japan (Mid February). I don’t have a spec list yet but I suspect it will sue the same E-m1 sensor with no AA filter. And also the same EVF. It sounds like a small upgrade over the current [shoplink 29074]Olympus E-M5[/shoplink]. I hope the price will be also of “entry level” standard :)

You can find the [shoplink 42927 ebay]E-M5 for $699 (refurbished)[/shoplink] and [shoplink 42926 ebay]700 Euro (new on eBay)[/shoplink]. This could (or should) be the price of the new camera.

Also hot: Sources also pointed out that there will be new lenses (yes plural!).
