{?>Olympus E-PL1 } ?> will now be sold in a new kit version with the 17mm lens and optical viewfinder. According to DC.watch the kit will cost 80,000 yen. That’s exactly $891,216 but consider that prices in US will be much lower.

Olympus’s eq.35 mm is much more useful as an all-around than Sony’s eq.24 mm but still…

Unfortunately, E-PL1 will never be bundled with Panasonic 20mm F1.7.

Fortunately, Olympus is coming out with their own 20mm f1.7 seeing its such a popular lens.

4 years ago |That’s great, I’ll need the optical viewfinder, otherwise I’ll constantly move the camera to my eyes mechanically, since have done that since the SLR days.
The 17mm f/2.8 & VF-1 makes a nice bundle, but the Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 seems a brighter performer.

4 years ago |If this was for the EP1 and instead of the 17mm they were offering the rumored 12mm 2.5 with an optical viewfinder I’d probably get it. And oh yeah, if they also added the diorama and cross process filters to the EP1.
That would be my perfect camera. I’ll probably end up getting the Nex just because that 16mm pancake is the perfect lens for 90% of my shooting- but I really prefer the EP1.
