New Olympus accessories price cuts!
I’ve come across some info that shows are far lower price. (This shot was taken from an Olympus site we can’t give the link!). Macro light is only about $60 and converter is $60 too… fish eye is $179 though! And Amazon Germany (Click here) has the MAL-1 available for preorder for a much lower price than expected (49 Euro!).
It looks like Olympus has lowered the price of some of the newly announced accessories. Good news!
P.S.:The E-Pl2 is in Stock at: Amazon US, Adorama, BHphoto, Amazon DE, Amazon UK, Amazon FR.

2 years ago |are the converters compatible with the old 14-42 m43 olympus lense?
Inge-M.
2 years ago |Now, but maybe pancake lens, that have also 17mm filter size.

2 years ago |37mm filter thread apparently … so good for the new kit (but the original kit lens was 40.5mm filter thread, so not compatible)
as Inge-m. says, the 17pancake also has the 37mm thread size but there was word somewhere that these adaptive won’t work on the pancake!?!? no idea why not!

2 years ago |Pol: no, the wide/fisheye converters are only for the new 14-42mm mark 2 lens. I believe there is a bayonet mount on the 14-42mm mark 2 that they attach to. The macro converter will also fit the 14-150mm and 40-150mm lens (possibly the 75-300mm, I don’t recall on that one).

2 years ago |For the MCON-P01 (Looks like bayonet and it will fit the 14-150/40-150 (58mm) once the bayonet adapter is removed)
When attached to the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II lens (set to the telephoto end of 42mm (equivalent to 84mm of 35mm cameras)), this converter increases the maximum shooting magnification from 0.19X (equivalent to 0.38X of 35mm cameras) to 0.28X (equivalent to 0.56X of 35mm cameras). After magnification, the lens front can be approached to 13 cm (or 24 cm from the image sensor) from the subject.
When the MA-P01 Macro Adapter is removed from this converter, it can also be attached directly to the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 telephoto zoom lens or the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14-150mm f4.0-5.6 high-magnification zoom lens for shooting magnified images of small subjects such as flowers or insects.

2 years ago |good to see a price drop … wonder if the electronic VF2 will drop in price too?
Boss
2 years ago |Yeah the VF-2 is nice, but the price seems too high. Is it really $100 better than the Panasonic version?

2 years ago |It is much better – offering more then twice the resolution
both are overpriced thou

2 years ago |they need to seriously drop this into a kit … it would help EP1 people jump to an EPL2 (or EP3). I’m still pretty anti the idea of bolting on such a thing, but if it was bundled at the time I was looking to update my original PEN then it would certainly help the deicision
