MicroFourThrids deals (yes everything is getting cheaper)
BHphoto and Adorama are closed because of the the Sukkot Holiday. But Amazon is offering some very good MicroFourThirds deal. We reported some of them the last days but there is more than we expected:
1) The Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens is in Stock for $336.95 at Amazon (Click here).
2) The Panasonic GF1 + 20mm lens deal is still ongoing. You can have it for $674.95 at Amazon (Click here). That’s a nice $50 price drop!
3) The Olympus E-PL1 is also available for a very good price. $513.46 for the Black or the Blue model atAmazon (Click here).
4) The Olympus 9-18mm lens is in Stock for $591.99 at Amazon (Click here). That’s $107 less than the “normal” price.
5) The Panasonic 45-200mm is in Stock for $265.00 at Amazon (Click here)

2 years ago |I’ve been considering the GF1 with the 20mm for the better part of a year or more. Recently I have been holding out for the GF2 (it was what led me to this site a few months ago) but with the recent rumors about smaller sizes and comments made by Panasonic I decided to finally get the GF1 from Amazon. The 5d mkII is too much camera to walk around with sometimes, I can not wait to try out the GF1 with the pancake as a walk around camera.

2 years ago |Even at these prices m43 offerings are priced still to high. A PEN can have a big sensor, but AF is still crappy. There are better offerings especially in forms of entry dslr models.
And don’t get me started about the cost for mediocre glass. Yes it’s tiny but not that much that it can cost 3 times more than 10% bigger and better glass.
Oly really has to bring something with pdaf on sensor to offer a true alternative to the E system. CDAF is inferior. Always.
And yes there is panasonic. But i really am not a kind of guy to shell out 1500$ for a gh1 which is already outdated. So i+m probably also not interested in 1000$ mini-me “leicas”.
