One point I hadn’t previously noticed and which the review pointed out was the proximity of the controls to the right hand edge of the back plate – right where the fleshy part of my thumb rests. I don’t like that at all.

Unlike others, my needs are simple:

Reworked 20mm f/1.7 pancake with AF like the 14mm.
Black version of the 45mm f/1.8.

You can make them weatherproof if you like but not too fussed about it.

Film is a mature technology. Digital cameras & sensors have a looooooong way to go yet

Panasonic are OK but compared to Ricoh they’re just playing at it. If you mention something nice-to-have on a forum it always comes up as an option in the next firmware as long as it’s a half decent idea.

Lets hope Panasonic read this =D

Look Olympus, stop feckin’ about. Just leak a few tidbits like you always do – and then release and deliver the camera when you promise to. That’s enough for me.

I believe Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark are going to sue

If they’re the same sensor why does the GX1 spec say it’s a CMOS and the G3 spec say it’s a Live MOS? Is it the same thing?

I prefer substance over ‘style’ even if it’s OM style.

Olympus better get this one right or they’ll run out of money before they make up lost ground on Fuji – especially if they don’t get the price point right.
