The GX1 is a fragile piece of hardware. Mine lastled 4 weeks and will no longer power up. Panny voided the warranty due to a tumble and wanted 1/2 price to repair it. Worst new product experience in my book to date.

I jumped onto the GX1 early and found it shock prone. A small tumble caused it to fail to power up. Panasonic added to my misery by voiding its warranty and estimating repairs at $350. I cant bare the thought of spending $1000 in total to carry this camera. Its 6 weeks old. I decided [...]

Anyone else out there have issues with the Lumix GX1 being too fragile. Unfortunately I dropped mine into bushes from a very low height off the ground.
