According to the tests, the 12/2.0 is indeed not the top performer. I hope the 75/1.8 will be as good as the 45/1.8.

I just hope that the new Panasonic lenses do not exhibit the same double image/blurring problem as the other two X zooms… (crossing my fingers!)

+1000! I am using the 14-54/2.8-3.5 on my Olympus E-M5. If Olympus would offer this lens as a (maybe a little bit lighter and smaller) MFT version with fast focus, it would sell like hotcakes!

I can predict that I will be torn between the 60mm (due to weather sealing and Macro) and the 75mm (due to maximum aperture). I own a Minolta Rokkor 85mm/2, which is a fantastic lens (also on the E-M5), but has to be manually focussed. Well, we’ll see… It’s good to have the choice!

Probably not. It is the same battery.

It is less expensive at Redcoon.
I don’t know what Amazon is thinking to sell it for 200 € more than the UVP…

ISO 100 or a built-in ND filter would be a great feature.

1. and 2. Even when you subtract the VAT, the prices are still significantly higher. But of course the difference is less than it looks at first glance. 3. I seriously doubt that this is a reason for the higher price. The amount of units sold e. g. in Germany should be pretty high. 4. [...]

+1000 on #3. I would like to see the µ4/3 version of the 12-60mm, although I know that – after the release of the slow 12-50mm – this is not very likely…

Yes, fortunately it is less expensive ad redcoon. Amazon GErmany should not await too many preorders…

At Amazon Germany the E-M5 is available for preorder at 1499 € (that is 1935 $ !!!).
No wonder there are not special deals for the smaller Olympus cameras… -

“More likely for me would be a new model GX2 or GP1 rangefinder with inbody EVF, high resolution swivel screen, and full 1080P/60 video and weatherproofing for the new X lenses coming.”
Although I like the thought, I think that would probably place it too close to the GH3. I would not expect too much.

It might also be a G5 with a better grip, a slightly improved sensor and maybe an improved EVF and/or LCD (meaning that there is an overall incremental improvement).

I would like to see some fast zooms in the near future as well. To build fast zooms which are not too bulky and heavy is one of the major advantages of the m43 system.
