6 months ago |What price the e-p3 will be in the lightning deal. $399?

6 months ago |…Do we really need infos about compacts like the LX7? Is this Compact-Rumors.com?… .
Ulli
6 months ago |sometimes i wonder too why news about compacts is included in this forum, but thats an opinion.

6 months ago |I purchased a G5 from the Panasonic Direct site a few weeks ago for the EPP price of $510. So, I’m not too bummed about this price drop.
But, this confirms that my idea of getting the G5 for now, and waiting a few months for the GH3 is a prudent one. I can still stock up on good glass in the mean time.

6 months ago |The G5 is now minimum 600 euros in Europe, and $500 in USA. Now THAT makes absolutely no sense what so ever. If I could buy a G5 for $500 I would do it today.

6 months ago |Yes couldn’t agree more and fed up with these postings on US deals. Now what about the GX2 rumour….

6 months ago |Look at the bright side: We Americans won’t get to enjoy our cameras for as long as our European counterparts, as our fat and lazy American asses are gonna die young from heart disease and diabetes. So, you got that going for you.

6 months ago |Vacation in the US and buy a camera while you are here? I met a New Zealander this summer on vacation and he picked up a G5 with a 14-140. Markets and currency are a pain but I feel like most of these price drops (at least with Panasonic gear) are due to too much inventory and competition between Amazon-BHPhoto-other sellers. One drops the others change to compete. I’m lazy and just buy used gear when the price is down enough. It will be interesting to see what the GH3 eventually evens out to be once it has been out for awhile.

6 months ago |I’ve already done that. Several times. I’ve spent a total of 5 months traveling around USA in the last decade.
There are only so many USA vacations I can take!!

6 months ago |Has there ever been a single price drop or sale post on this site where Europeans don’t complain about the price differences?
Ulli
6 months ago |never, because they have a good reason to complain….everything here is expensive

By the way, 12 pieces Hanuta cost $18 in the US, but only 1,89 Euro in Germany. Quark, if you can find it, costs $4 for half a pound in the US. In Germany I pay 90 cents for one pound. So, please, keep complaining about high prices in Europe. I buy food every single day, but not electronics.

6 months ago |if you expect a fast reply, i dont sleep behind my pc, and your comparison about imported food does not hold. the switch from local currency to international euro made things as it is right now. advice for you, eat local stuff, unless you are too spoiled and seemingly have the money too waste.

6 months ago |I thought you were sleeping behind your PC – I apologize for being so presumptuous.
If it’s just a Euro issue, I suppose you can shop in the UK or in Switzerland.
As for food, it’s last area in my life where I will be stingy. How about trading me a 25 kg wheel of Emmentaler for some camera gear?

6 months ago |I actually do appreciate posting deals on compacts, as i have pass this deal to several friends who are looking for backup.
@$299, who’s going to buy those basic P&S?

6 months ago |I appreciate the news on the LX7. I have a GF3 which I really like as a semi-compact but I need something lightweight with 1080 60 video and an intervalometer and the LX7 fits the bill.
