11 months ago |I bought one…one of the best cameras buys in the universe. The GH1 is an incredible instrutment, and a very good still camera as well.
If B&H is out, I believe Amazon.com and Adorama might have them at the $399 (body only) price as well.

11 months ago |Is the $1000 in Poland for body-only or kit? This is body-only price…
To everybody complaining about higher prices in Europe as opposed to USA. I was living in Europe and now I live in the USA, so some useful things to remember:
1) advertised prices in USA are *always* without VAT. So the actual price for this camera is $450-ish (exact VAT depends on where you leave)
2) salary, cost of life and taxes are pretty different, so there is no way to compare, but….
3) health care is private and expensive. I went to ER (for myself) once in Europe and it was free. I went to ER twice in the USA (for my kids) and I spent several hundreds of dollars just for “entering the door”. I don’t know about Poland, but yes, you could save some dollars on the cameras if you live in the USA. You are likely to spend more than what you saved on health care (and other things), so you have to have them into your bank account.
4) this deal is about a discontinued camera, so it clearly depends on the merchant: do they want to get rid of it, to make room? Or do they want to save the investment they made when they bought it in the first place.
5) please stop complaining

11 months ago |Its amazing how long the GH1 has been out and still supposedly the highest overall image quality of any m43 camera. Hopefully the GH3 will finally beat it??
