Japanese shock: 43rumors solidarity
Those are terrible news we are currently receiving from Japan. I think I speak for everyone here on 43rumors when I say that we are deeply concerned. I confide that most people managed to escape the tsunami as the country has a well organized alarm system and procedure. I don’t have other words to express, I am really shocked.
A side note via Bloomberg:
Panasonic Corp. (6752) said several employees at its three factories in Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures sustained minor injuries. The Osaka-based company is still assessing the damage to facilities, Yuichi Takatoku, a Tokyo-based spokesman for the company, said by phone.

Of course, Christchurch had a much worse one last month. There will be a lot of terrified people in Japan right now, and the stress just gets worse with the aftershocks. I dread to hear the final death toll in Japan, because it looks like many won’t have time to run from the tsunami. I hope they can be strong, they will need all their bravery in the months to come. It will be really too much if the damaged nuclear plant gets worse….

..as it was written, so it shall be done.

That title sounds like a bad pun…

Now we see this really devastating destruction in Japan. We give them our thoughts, prayers & sympathies at this time.

Ok, that sounds good, but why not actually do something useful and make a donation to an aid organization? In fact, maybe make regular donations in good times and bad so that people who can physically make a difference have the means to do the best job possible when it counts.
Most of us are not rich, but I think we can all afford a little bit of philanthropy.
