Good news folks for our US readers! The long wait is over and BHphoto has the Silver Panasonic GH2 with 14-42mm Lens in Stock (Click here to get it!)!
Also Amazon has the silver GH2 kit in Stock (via third party resellers) but they charge you $200 extra 
You have to pay the same “extra” on the GH2 +14-140mm lens which is in Stock for $1799 at Amazon (Click here).

2 years ago |I have successfully ordered the GH2 three times now and all three times it was canceled. Once from amazon, once from panasonic and just now from B&H. I just got off the phone with someone at panasonic that said they only have the silver without lens in stock and that the website is not being updated for reasons unknown. Apparently the black without lens was never in stock even when it first became re-available on the 13th. I ordered mine from panasonic within minutes of it being “available”. It said it was shipping out on the 13th, but my credit card was never charged so I called tonight and found out the camera is on backorder and that they do not has an estimate on when it will ship. If you ordered a black GH2 from panasonic in the past two days I would call or email them to find out if you order is on backorder because clearly they will not notify you.

2 years ago |Also, the info about Amazon having stock via 3rd party retailers is incorrect. I spoke to Willoughby’s today. They do not have current stock, but instead they believe they will have a few by Friday. Given the uncertain state of incoming inventory everywhere, I wouldn’t be anxious to order until someone can say for sure that they have it in stock.

2 years ago |Panasonic rep just told me they have no GH2s of either color- body only or kit. He said “1-2 weeks.” I’m starting to think this camera does not actually exist. . .

2 years ago |It exists among the elite. The only footage I’ve seen allegedly from the GH2 is the usual flowers and doorknob shots (yawn) with classical musak (zzzzzzz). Real users take it out to the streets and rough it up a bit to show what it can do, and are critical of even the slightest anomaly. I’ve not read one bad thing about the stealth GH2. It can’t possibly be that rosy.

2 years ago |Go to the Panasonic website (they seem overwhelmed now, its down) and go to the camera’s page. On the right there is a link for Employee Purchase Discount programs. If you work for a company that has a tie up with Panasonic, then you sign in through that, and shop. If I revealed the size of the discount, many of you will have heart attacks here

2 years ago |I have been desperately searching for a GH2 before christmas and discovered that unique photo claims to have them in stock. I placed and order and followed up this morning. They claimed they had “plenty in stock”. So if you are looking, try there. They seem to have a good rep online too. They said it was a USA version with warranty. I’ll let you know when I actually get it.
