Hitler is mad at Panasonic for GH2 camera availability issues (GF2, XZ-1 in Stock)
UPDATE: Some people didn’t like (or didn’t understand) the video about Hitler making fun of the GH2 availability. I really didn’t imagine someone could get hurt by such a video. As a sign of respect for them I removed it. A few personal serious thought about the “Hitler video”:
First: That video is very famous in Internet and millions of people saw different version of it. It’s a viral video that is going around since years! That’s why I didn’t have any problem at all to post it because I thought that being used to, people would understand it correctly.
Second: As I understand German I can assure you there is no racist speech, no talk about the horrific things he made inside that clip. It only shows the complete craziness of the person.
We could talk for hours about the question if it is correct to make Black humor using “Hitler” as main figure or not. But as this is not the place for it I will stop here and send my excuses for the few people that didn’t like that post.
P.S.: This brings me to the idea to watch “The Great Dictator” once again. Wonderful movie!

2 years ago |These memes are popular among the younger generations who pass them amongst themselves in reference to many things that they have going on in their lives. I am a part of that younger generation, so I understand where it’s coming from.
But I think we also need to understand that there very well could be people here who do not see these jokes from the same perspective. Perhaps people who experienced atrocities like this first hand, or lost loved ones or friends in the war.
How would many of our younger generation feel if there was a meme making light of the September 11th attacks in the US? Yes, they happened more than 50 years later, but it’s still something that we experienced first hand (even if it was only from our living rooms).
While the video got a few chuckles out of me, I do respect those who raise an objection to the video. And I would have no problem respecting their wishes to have this removed.

2 years ago |I have no idea how someone could relate this video to neo-nazis? It´s taken from a famous movie and was a great and well-done joke the first time it appeared. But since then, the same joke is repeated over and over again with almost every new Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and so on…it´s a bit of a yawn now. Time to get creative again, folks!

do you read the sub-titles in the clip at all before complaining?

2 years ago |Let’s focus back on the real culprit here; not Hitler but Panasonic. Besides the GH2, I’ve been following the 7-14mm panny lens. Within the last month the price on Amazon has gone down to US$775 (almost reasonable) back to above US$900 and out of stock. Too bad there aren’t futures exchanges to hedge the price of Panasonic lenses.

2 years ago |I have seen this video before, but found this version particularly funny. LOL! I did not consider it to be in poor taste. What is in poor taste is Panasonic’s lack of seriousness about the US market for their cameras. Went in to Best Buy last week and saw Olympus m4/3 and Sony NEX displays and lots of Canon, Sony, and Nikon DSLR’s. Where was the Panasonic display? Not even a GF2 for the masses, let alone a GH2. Personally, I think that Panasonic’s US marketing team should all be fired because they aren’t doing the job. Maybe that is why m4/3 is not gaining market share in the US like in every other part of the world. I think the video hits the nail on the head and did it in a funny way. My parents lived in the Netherlands during WW2 and were occupied by the Germans. Yes, it was a brutal time, but people should not take this so seriously.

This is the same clip about two Detroit morning radio personalities. One had left the show for 2 years then returned.
