5 months ago |I don’t know if this is news (for me it is…I’ve been waiting forever) but I received this email today from B&H:
“Please be advised that the PANASONIC DMC-GH3 CAMERA BODY (BLACK) you have on backorder is expected to arrive at our warehouse in 7-10 days. As soon as we receive it from the vendor/manufacturer we will promptly ship it to you. We apologize for this delay and for any inconvenience.”
I preordered mine in late November.

5 months ago |There’s one GH3 on amazon for $1,274.99 in the Used section listed as Like New. However, when you look at the item description it is says “Brand New Sealed in Box”….”Unopened”.

5 months ago |Thought for a while about the horrible Sammy’s reviews, but bought on the strength of high hopes and my CC’s protections. Received an email that they shipped today; should be delivered tomorrow.
We’ll see how it all works out, and I have some shows coming up (landscapes, bucolic and urban) in which I’ll plan on including shots taken with the GH3.

5 months ago |I think part of the problem is the prices in the USA make it more attractive to ship to other markets first, where the profits per unit and demand are higher .The USA has one of the lowest uptake of mirrorless. The bottom line is that Panasonic are in a position were throwing away profit margins is not a wise move.
UK prices which far exceed the tax differences alone.
