And I have a correction to report. Our Japanese readers pointed out an error in the google translation tool on the Panasonic press release. The Gh3 body has been delayed by two weeks but the GH3 kits will ship in December (not in May as stated by Google translation)! That is a huge difference! (Source: DC.watch).

6 months ago |Doesn’t anyone read the descriptions on Vimeo anymore? Grading hasn’t been done yet! Apart from a few brightness tests in prep for a forthcoming Vimeo Grade which will replace the video, most people understood that this review was all about the DMW-MS2 shotgun microphone. I don’t give diddly f*ck if you like it or not, but Listen!
And let this be clear to people, we were not in anyway paid off to make this (this is a 2 hour film/edit/upload), I have no connection to Pany, and am certainly not sponsored by anyone to make these videos. Capice?

See Frankie, the GH3 is still SHAPED like a leica-style camera and has a pop-up flash and other silly hybrid class features.
See Frankie, this annoying guy on the net keeps hammering away at us for being so dumb and at the camera companies for fleecing all the suckers out there that buy cameras like they was popcorn at the movies.
I mean, this guy keeps asking about the Driftwood character…who else would put together a blockbuster demo flick like this using a beta product?Him and the Bloom character, He calls them pimps for Panasonic! We should get him!

But it’s OK Frankie, cause bye the time the Trust Fund Babies run out of play money, a real professional, small form-factor mirrorless with 4K raw capture in a shape that readily accommodates rigging and add-on modules will be on the market and you can dump your GH3 on ebay- hopefully you’ll get 10% of it’s retail price back this time next year.

Well he’s an awesome director, writer and DP so can’t we cut the guy a break?
Sucky purple shadows with nasty arse gain macroblocking in the demo’s shadows?

The TFB’s just wanna get off on something new this Christmas and ya gotta agree, the GH2 was getting long in the tooth.

6 months ago |Fun little video Nick, lots of nice ideas (shooter, body, barrel etc). Just coulda used tighter cuts between dialogue, it drags in places. I’d have gone for punchy fast delivery (Simpsons style), makes it funnier too.
