(FT5) Panasonic will announce two new lenses in autumn!

The nice guys from Quesabesde shared that screenshot that discloses Panasonic’s intention to unveil two more new lenses in autumn. According to our sources one should be a zoom and one a prime lens. And 1-2 current lenses should be updated.

12 months ago |Collapsible kit zoom HAS to be on their to-do list if they are to make more mini cameras. If you look at the comparison of GF3 and NEX-C3 with kit zooms, there is almost no difference in size.

Exactly. But they have to make headlines often, so they’ll have more if they replace kit zoom while not changing the body. Remember E-PL1s?

I suppose Panasonic will stick to September plan: fast zoom and a fast wide. And I hope, they’ll be announced in August, not in autumn. Good times for m4/3 indeed.

And come on, Pana and Oly, STOP updating your past lenses; we have ENOUGH kit lenses, and there’re still many gaps in the current mFT line-up!

12 months ago |The fast normal zoom would be killer. This is beginning to look like a very interesting system. NEX, on the other hand, has lots of “potential”, but still lacks the lenses to make it killer. And that supposing they are brave enough to start making some key smallish primes instead of big super zooms (which, sadly, is what most consumers want).
