other than that, I love the site.

5 years ago |I think the price is too high. I know the GH1 is $500 more, but all I want is a camera. I wish they made one without video at the price of the G1 ($659) and the more featured one in the fall will have the video and the $1000 price. I JUST WANT A SMALL CAMERA WITH A BIG SENSOR. that’s all I need. extras are nice, but that’s all I need.

5 years ago |what i expect is a well build, easy to use and small camera with a very good kit lens -> than are 1000 $ a good price

5 years ago |Well, it’s obvious that the price is a bit high… it’s enough that as we hear it, we ask: “Isn’t it high?”
So for me, it sounds high… not that I can not afford it, but that I expect the produkt to be with price equal or a bit lower compared to the E4xx series cameras by Olympus.

5 years ago |$1000 for a half-frame sensor in a compact body…sounds a bit overpriced. Depends what the lenses will cost too. Investing the same amount of money in a new camera system and lenses that rivals the price a full dSLR but only offers the features of a m4/3 and compact camera is going to be absurd. It will make the M8 seem an even better choice. The quality must be beyond exceptional. This camera seems like something that people would be adding to their main kits, not replacing kits with. At such high prices…that doesn’t quite pan out the same.

5 years ago |Will the kit price include the zoom 14-42 or the pancake 2,8/17 or both?

5 years ago |That would be a good price for an advanced mFT model. However for a digital compact replacement system camera targetting the basic/average consumer it is way too expensive. Panasonic has overpriced every four thirds product they have released and olympus must keep one of their strongest selling points: value for money. They have to beat the g1 on price.

5 years ago |Way high, if like has been rumored, the cameras doenst have an EVF and neither a swivel LCD. Ive been wondering, with a zoom lens, and without an EVF, woudnt be cumbersome to zoom the lens with your left hand and hold the camera to make the composition with your right hand ( in front of your face)?

5 years ago |The interesting question, if it really will cost more than the Panasonic G1: What features will it offer that the G1 doesn’t, bearing in mind the higher price and no EVF/flash?
Probably a very high quality metal housing. But what else?
