(FT5) Guess why Olympus didn’t improve focus peaking on the E-P5.

Share

The trusted source who shared the E-P5 firmware update in advance just shared some more tidbits:

He says the Focus peaking update was going to happen but a decision was made to leave that to a future model rather than update this model. I guess this means Olympus wants the soon to be announced E-Pl7 to have this feature to mark a more clear distance between the new and older PEN models.

I would have prefered a more “Fuji alike” firmware approach. Full intensive support and improvement of all current cameras. It’s a great way to create affiliation don’t you think so Olympus?
