(FT4) No Panasonic LX4 (for now)
Finally I got some (bad) news from a trusted source. He told me the Panasonic LX3 successor will not be announced soon. He also told me that “the Panasonic LX3 is a camera which is very popular in Europe and US and less in Asia. So we should expect an announcement for Photokina (September).“.
Over one month ago a different trusted source told me about the LX3 successor. He know admitted he received false informations 
By the way I am working on new rumor about Fuji Olympus and the Panasonic GH1. I will let you know soon what’s going on!

Besides, as the camera owner I wouldn’t like to hear anything else.

If you have any word about a replacement for the Olympus E-620 please let us know asap. I was really hoping to buy the new Olympus this spring but it looks like I’ll be buying a new Canon T2i in a week’s time if I don’t hear anything from Olympus.

2 years ago |I think it’s great that a company keeps producing a near-perfect camera for longer than 6 month before releasing a replacement. I’m sure the whining will be huge in case the successor will offer more zoom length, less stellar lens quality and lots of new electronic gimmicks. Go LX3, go! (admitting though that my m3/4 stuff makes my LX3 sit on the shelve for the most time of the week)

I hope they come out with a really compact and sleek design, so that it fits my pocket when switched off (expandable lens when in operation mode) I’d like to see a new MFT sensor (BIS), AVCHD (1080p 25/30/50/60), 24 – 120 mm, Touchscreen for manual focus (as seen on G2), automated lens cover and a lot’s of accessories (e.g. underwater housing)
