The GH2 has to keep the DSLR-like body. I don't want one of those little "cigarette pack" cameras (GF1, L1, Rangefinder). Sorry, I know it's a classic shape, but not for me. They need to bring up the blue body option from the G1, so I can get a matching ZS7 for snapshots and GH2 for serious shooting. :-) If they can weather-proof the body like the $1500 cameras from Canon & Nikon, that'd be nice. Would they announce the GH2 & GF2, even if they're not going to be available until Summer? If not, I suspect one of the new cameras will be an entry level product like the E-PL1 that will take the place of the LX3, leaving Panasonic with only 2 sensors to worry about (1/2.33 & 4/3).

I find it hard to see that a model wich is both as compact and also superior to the GF1 would be set for release anytime soon. It would be easy to suggest that the video-recording could be improved (stereo instead of mono, more FPS etc), and also that the LCD-display could be 920,000 dots instead of 460,00 (like many Nikon and Sony cameras in the same pricegroup, but then again the main rival ep-2 has 230,00 ...) But the GF1 marely has 5 month on the market, at least here in northen Europe, and it's most critical con so far has been it's pricetag. People in general are pleased with what the GF1 offers in terms of functions and settings: the camera is not aiming for pros. And at the moment I don't think the IQ could be much improved in a compact shell like the GF1, so I don't think the hardcore enthusiasts will take a peek at Panny just yet.

Even a small update to the GH1 would be nice.. change the small dial to ISO and move single/continuous/manual focus to a three way switch. Change the film and quick menu buttons to 'A' and 'B' and just make them configurable (or replace with said three way switch). Either make the quick menu actually quick or get rid of it. Add a higher quality encoding option and let me choose between 50p/60p.

Never going to happen but I'd also happily see all the scene modes deleted and the PASM dial changed to shutter speed plus A mode... or just simplify it like the GF1 dial... or make it two-tier like the G11 and put exposure compensation on the small dial.

Or better yet add a proper exposure mode that simply exposes "to the right". Then I wouldn't even need exposure compensation.
