    GH1 on 999$? Wow!
Want GH2 on this price too! :D

  • baoluo

when are you going to give us some substantive FT 5 info on the GF2/GH2???? this other stuff about the GF1/GH1 seems to be just something to fill up your daily blog!

    • Jules

Are you asking for rumors on rumors? :)

  • numb

is there any chance those gh1’s are pre-may versions?

  • Boris

Do you think the price-cut implies we are going to see the new models soon?

  • Schwarz

    i suspect it’s gf1 not gh1…?

  • Duarte Bruno

Way to go Panasonic! If they have the latest firmware, I wouldn’t touch them for 899$ :(

  • It didn’t last. GF1+20mm is back to $724.95

  • Milt

If there is no news, there is no news. We all look anyway. Interesting how well buttoned up Panasonic is on the new GF camera(s). And the GH2 as well.

The deal of 650 dollars for the Panasonic GF1 + 20mm pancake lens is still available by ordering from J&R: http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_DMCGF1CK/

  • What is the issue with pre-May GF1 firmware versus post-May GF1 firmware?

First I have heard of this… A google search did not turn up anything.

    Please explain… Thanks!

  • OK, sorry… it is GH1. Pre-May version is hackable.

  • infared

I still think the best MFT buy is the black G1 on Amazon for $499.
If you don’t want video (I am not a fan)… You get a better lens than the G2..the sensor is the same and the high-rez viewfinder and articulating screen are great. For the price it can’t be beat.
    I own a GF1 too…but I grab this more often.

Hey I just noticed that J&R has the GF1 with 22mm lens for $649.99
    http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_DMCGF1CK/

And they have the GF1 with the 14-45mm lens for $689.00
    http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_DMCGF1KK/

I am SO torn here. I’ve been waiting for a good price on the GF1 forever, but now we’re so close to Photokina… Do I pull the trigger, or wait for the Gf2?? /ugh

  • GH1

I’ve studied the $999 offer. Where does it say the 14-140 HD lens is included ? I think this is a split kit, being sold without the included lens. Please point out the 14-140 HD lens is included and I’ll buy it?

    Thanks

    • I was going to pull the trigger on a GF1 at J&R but am worried it won’t be hackable becasuse of the V1.24 firmware…

  • Robert Smith

Make that $639.99 for the GF1!
    Found a $10 off code: GEICO10

Seriously, I don’t know that I can pass this up.

  • CRB

Less than a month for photokina…rumors shouldnt be more accurate and disclosed by now? we know about samsung, knew about canon, sony, nikon….oly..we know about 50%, panny?

  • steve

wait – – current gh1 cams are NOT hackable? how do you know this?

    • New GH1’s with 1.34 firmware are not hackable (for the time being)
