First Jackar 34mm f/1.8 lens review by ePhotozine.
ePhotozine (Click here) posted the very first review of the new Jackar 34mm f/1.8 Micro Four Thirds lens: “For landscape shots and situations where image quality is more important, it may not be the ideal lens, but for low light, wide-open shooting, and portrait shots, it could be ideal.”
The lens itself can be bought via US, German and Hong Kong retailers on eBay (Click here) (found via Slidoo).

5 months ago |For what you are paying this is a fantastic lens, to complain about it’s IQ kind of misses the point, its a lens you can use to experiment with low light situations. Personally I am hanging out for the SK Xenon which is a 30mm 1.4 and too close in FL for me to consider getting this.

5 months ago |This is just a restyled/rebranded CCTV lens so you can get this IQ for far less. Look on EBay for Fujian 35mm F1.7 CCTV lens and you’ll have the same thing for $34.99.

5 months ago |He is right, it is overpriced Fujian f1.7 (34$) and it should be noted in the article to protect readers against buying it!

5 months ago |I think it is an upgraded version of Fujian 35/1.7, the same way as Wesley 24/1.4 and Fujian 25/1.4.
Still, the price is to high.

The eBay shoplink tag isn’t properly defined. It appears extended in the middle of the text.

5 months ago |This is just Fujian f1.7 you can find on eBay – excellent lens for the price! (34$). It is the must buy lens for every m4/3 user. Shots from reviewed lens look completely the same.

5 months ago |why bother with this when there’s the SLR Magic 35/1.4
been happy with IQ from the older f1.7

5 months ago |I really dont see any reason why to buy this when there is a such small or none difference from 34$ Fujian which is sooo sweet lens in overall (compact, fast, love its flares and bokeh).
Some photo I have taken with Fujian

5 months ago |Well, the article says the lesn is very much prone to flare, whereas my 35/1.7 fujian is not!

So, you can have a better IQ by paying much less.
As said, asking for 10 times the price is quite insane.
