12 months ago |When I bought it some time ago, I paid $325 from Amazon. So, yeah it was a lot less.

12 months ago |Got the 25mm F 1.4 Summilux DG lens. A lovely piece of glass, though it looks HUGE on my EM-5, as opposed to the diminutive 12mm and 45mm lenses….

12 months ago |How do you like the 12 on it? I ordered my em5 and got it in 2 days and ordered a supposed *us stock* 12 off ebay that was listed as being only 2 states away and i’m still waiting on it. So annoying.

12 months ago |Amazon won’t release the money to new sellers for at least few weeks .By that time you will know if they are scams.
Amazon has strict rules about new sellers.See their policy.

12 months ago |You know, I’m not too crazy about the 20mm. I’ve owned it for a while and just don’t use it much. It’s the obligatory “I’m going somewhere with low light and need to travel light” lens, but I don’t love it.
It’s not the image quality. It may be the focal length… I prefer 25-35 as my “normal” in 4/3. It’s almost like 40mm (EqFOV) is too wide for normal, but not wide enough for wide. It may even be the aesthetics, which I know is silly, but I don’t love it. I sold the Oly 17mm f2.8 that’s considered so-so for the 20 and I miss the 17. I also have the 14mm 2.5 and like it much more.
Should have sold it a month ago when they were $450 used! LOL.
Hope Oly does release a 25mm f1.8 that’s not $600!

I use the 20mm when I want something convenient… meaning autofocus. In that range, I MUCH prefer 25mm and my Voigtländer Nokton.

12 months ago |I think the 2 most usefull focal lengths (in 35mm terms are 24mm and 50mm…..
When I was a kid, the first 35mm camera I used was my dad’s, Canon AE1, only lens we had was a 50mm….. Never thought I have anything else! And it was manual focus!

12 months ago |What I mean, is I never even thought “is there another focal length, and way to do this?”

12 months ago |For me 35mm is my favorite length by far. I really wish Olympus would come out with a 17mm 1.8. My favorite lengths are probably 35mm, 24mm, 85mm, 50mm. Those four equivalent lenses and I’m set.

12 months ago |I hope Panasonic Direct shows some availability soon — I’ve got a 25 on backorder, so it will be good to finally have it on my camera. =)

12 months ago |I had the 17 first because we didn’t know when the 20 would be available. Then bought the 20 with the GF1 as soon as they came out and have used it for over two years along with a 28/2 MF lens. But–I love my 25/1.4. The focal length suits my style better but its more than that. Its just a joy to shoot with and though I still have both the 20 and 17 still I almost always choose the 25.
