EU deals reloaded (olympus 75mm, 17mm and Sigma).

It’s four years now that I work on 43rumors and we Europeans usually don’t have these nice deals you can find in USA. But I found some deal that is might be very interesting for you:
1) First of all the superb Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lens got discounted and you can find it for less than 800 Euro at Amazon France (Click here) and Amazon UK (Click here).
2) The super Sigma lens disocunt is now available for the 19mm at FotoHansKeuzekamp and for the 30mm again at FotoHansKeuzekamp. Both for 95 Euro only!
3) Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 1,8 / 17mm + Olympus VF-1 Sucher at Fotomundus.
4) One day promo on the 20mm pancake at Pixmania Portugal.

Now Admin, please find me a less-than-$800 deal on the 75mm here in Canada

4 months ago |You know that 800 € = 1060 of your $, right? Ok, our prices are VAT included, yours usually not. But henrys has it for 900$, so I guess that’s with VAT more or less the same?
But soon I’ll move to my girl to Quebec, hoping the North American rebates will not suddenly stop (and if they do, you’ll know it’s because of me
). But yeah, no reason for you to be jealous of European lens prices…

4 months ago |I don’t think the 17mm is a macro lens. According to http://hennigarts.com/micro-four-thirds-lenses.html the magnification is 0.08. My e-system 50mm has a magnification of 0.5, and the m43 60mm is 1. The 0.08 is less than average on that page.

4 months ago |do they discount sigma lenses due to fact that there are comming new sigma MFT lenses …designed for MFT?

4 months ago |Products often get discounted to spur people on to buy them, who previously did not really consider them or were considering other products. This is just human nature, marketing and market forces at work.
When the Sigma EX DN lenses were $/€200, they are: “garbage”, “NEX hand-me-downs”, “stupid focal lengths”, “too slow for m43″, “too big for m43″, “spend more and get better get Panasonic 20 f/1.7″ etc. Now they are discounted to $/€99, they are suddenly the “must haves”, “great additions to the system”, “well done Sigma!”, “good alternative to Panasonic 20 f/1.7″, “it’s my new favourite lens” etc.

4 months ago |Just for improve my English.
Is it right to say “Both for 95 Euro only!”? Or should it say “Each for 95 Euro only!”
When I first read it I thought 2 lenses for 95 Euro, it is cheaper than in US.
Thanks

4 months ago |It should say, “Each lens for only $95″ or “Both lenses for only $95 each.” Both lenses for $95 would indeed be an outstanding deal.
