5 months ago |Equivalent of £506 according to Ebay, that’s insane! Are there any taxes that would come on top of that?

All the boxes for other items are always in bad shape, missing accessories…I hope the administrator could forewarn other readers.

5 months ago |this is only a good deal if you are not planning on buying any Olympus lenses. if you buy even one Olympus lens, the rebate deal (on the linked PDF) is better. You get the body for $950, and then $150 off of a lens, as opposed to $810 for the body on ebay.

5 months ago |Meh, it’s a Micro Four Turd abomination, should really be priced at 80 cents, but who can blame Olympus for trying to rob the little people? We all know anyone who uses these systems are unworthy peasants.

5 months ago |only the unwashed plebian masses would ever consider paying a paltry $100 for a lens hood

5 months ago |Well I don’t know about the worthiness or peasantry stuff, or about the value of the OMD (probably more like a 600 dollar camera) , but as far as fourturds sensor goes, it’s more than enough for the internet and most everything is on the Internet these days.

5 months ago |VERY tempting, but I’m going to wait until the OM-D’s non-weather sealed replacement (or PEN-with-built-in-EVF) is announced, which hopefully will be very soon.

5 months ago |Doesn’t make much sense for European customer though, taking into consideration shipping, VAT and duty paid. And if anything goes wrong good luck sending it back to States or repair… I’m extemely close to get mine from hdewcameras tomorrow…

5 months ago |This puts major pressure on Panasonic to moderate (lower) the price on the GH3, if they expect to sell a substantial number. They cannot possibly maintain that high price, as the GH3 has not shown that it is superior to the E-M5 as a stills camera. Even though it is a great hybrid video cam, the E-M5 video will suffice for most people. Just watch what happens pricewise as the GH3 eventually makes it into the distribution channels in the US.

5 months ago |It’s available here in the UK body only for £649.95 on simply electronics. Not an authorised dealer, so no rebates etc, but it almost seems good value at that price!

5 months ago |Thanks. Have you had any experience with Simply Electronics? I’d never heard of them here in Holland.

5 months ago |I just purchased one of the last black bodies he had for sale. I figured I could take the chance as it will be my second body and back-up and really can’t beat that price if its legit. I’ll touch back in when it arrives next week and let people know the scoop. Crossing my fingers anyway, and I’d like to think only a few negative reviews(albiet very negative) compared to thousands of positives isn’t that bad. Everyone has negative reviews for the most part. I decided to get the 2yr Square-trade +Accidents warranty for $100 bucks just to be safe. still cheaper than the cost of a new one anywhere else with that added in plus a little insurance on my new investment is never a bad thing.
