Instead of giving out “free” stuff that many of us will already own, a reduction in the UK price which still seems to be North of £950 { UK stock} which considering it sells for $999 in the USA which is roughly £655 making our price roughly 45% higher.

If anyone knows of a better genuine UK price lower than camera price buster list , feel free to post it lol

admin has posted this already but in euros. £645 body only and £785 with 12-50 lens. In my experience it can take a while until you receive the goods and you won’t qualify for the Easter promotion. But still cheaper if you can wait and buy the accessories separate

Check out hdewcameras.co.uk, I got brand new silver OMD with 12-50 cheaper than refurbs from other sites. 3 years third party warranty (mine was French stock) and shipped from their UK warehouse, can’t beat that!:)

  • Grabbed that GH3 battery grip last week for that price. Sweet.

I bought a “factory demo” refurb E-M5 from Cameta. It had over 1400 clicks on the shutter, had been powered on/off over 400 times, and had the infamous LCD bezel crack. I didn’t think all three conditions accurately met the criteria of “minimal to no use, and in mint or near-mint condition”, so I requested an exchange. Cameta was very gracious about the transaction, but apologized for no longer having stock to replace it. I opted for a refund in the end.

I wonder which one of you lucky ‘togs gets the black E-M5 body that I had returned exactly 31 days ago to this day? I hope you appreciate that I updated the firmware to ver. 1.5.

…I hope you appreciate that I updated the firmware to ver. 1.5, AND added another 340 clicks to the shutter. ; )

    • 1400 clicks! That’s only 140 people trying out the 9 fps shooting speed. with 3 power on for each one. The numbers add up.
I have used Cameta for demo and factory refurb oly gear and found no problems. In fact factory refurb from Oly anywhere I have found to be top notch. They release refub equipment in batches normally indicating they may have good uniformity in test and repair, rather than an add hock job as they come in and get them out quick.
This guy, pvt 4545 is a good refurb seller I have used for some of my gear. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/pvt4545/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2654

In that case, a guarantee statement of “little or no use by as many as 200 people” would’ve been more accurate.

        • Actually its a bit disturbing that the lcd bezel was not fixed as well. Most disapointing all round really.

Please tell me I’m blind as I can’t see any “NEW” Easter promotion on Olympus UK site… It still shows the actual promotion (for period Feb-Mar for grip or 45mm)… Thanx…
