Desperate deal: Someone is aksing you $2,300.00 for a used GH2!
Panasonic can’t satisfy the demand for GH2 cameras in the US market. After 6 months of wait there is still some dude that wants to take profit from your frustration. So it happens that the the worlds biggest online store sells one single used GH2 for $2,300.00 (Click here to check it at Amazon)!!! Time for us Europeans to start selling our GH2 cameras for $2.000 to our US friend. We could become rich

I was disappointed by this camera but I decided to keep it and give it a second chance

2 years ago |Because I also have a DSLR (Canon 500D) and I have some habits
- ergonomy (body and menus)
- I prefer OVF over EVF (especially in low light)
- Lumix have poor battery life
- AF point selecting
and many little things…
The GH2 is highly rated but let’s face it, it has cons…
(and I just ordered the 20mm 1,7 for a better experience)
But now I’m looking on the bright side

2 years ago |In my opinion the EVF of the GH2 beats the OVF of the 500D hands down, especially in low light. It is brighter, much larger, and you can the manual foucs magnification to get assistance of precise focusing.

2 years ago |Don’t get me wrong, the EVF is very good, and yes in low light it’s brighter but the frame rate goes down !
Oh and another little problem, not about the EVF itself but the piece of glass in front of it: when you have the sun on your side, there’s a reflection, you can’t see anything !
Not a big deal, you juste have to move a bit, but still…

2 years ago |Yes, if you use the LCD, like a compact. I do it sometimes but for me the point of the GH2 is to be used like a DSLR and when you shoot by looking throught the EVF, it’s different.
Luckily the GH2 is customisable, I assigned the AF selection on the fn1 button and move the point with the cross. It’s ok but not perfect.

2 years ago |Nothing unusual about people scalping the electronics market. Or toys. Or just about anything. They probably don’t expect to make a sale, but for $2,300 who wouldn’t sell?

Hey Amazon and Panny!!! I’m still waiting for my replacement. I only ordered it in Sept. 2010……no rush though, but since you have my $$$$, you might write once in a while to let me know you’re still thinking of me. (sigh….)

I just bought a G2 on taobao.com (I live in China), it was a grey import from Japan for CNY 1,600 = $245. Applied the latest hack and got all languages back
Currently a GH2 imported the same way is CNY 4,800 = $730
All those price are body only and there’s plenty of them.
Nobody ever try to find a Japanese online store that can send to US, just wondering?

2 years ago |Hi Andr, sorry for the misunderstanding, I applied the crack to the G2 firmware 1.1.
Unfortunately Panasonic didn’t release any firmware update for the GH2 so it’s not possible to crack it currently.
It’s quite frustrating when you know that the crack only change a few flags, meaning all the languages are already in the camera, just disabled…

2 years ago |Jeez, I can’t believe they’re still so hard to come by. I’m not usually the person who has to be the first to get something but on a lark I signed up for a preorder at Adorama in October thinking I’d end up not getting one or canceling and waiting until the Summer or later when they were a little bit cheaper and available on Amazon. It shipped in December and I felt so honored to actually have one that I decided to keep it and I don’t regret it a bit! Hold out for it, I think it’s worth it.
