3 years ago |Just as it was with the EP1, I like the white one best!

3 years ago |can you mount an live view finder on a olympus pen?!!!?!?!?!?!

3 years ago |No

3 years ago |mm but the optical viewfinder of the pen it’s like mm just a hole? or does it shows the actual picture?

3 years ago |As with all Panasonic’s it seems if I buy in the UK then AVCHD will only record at 25fps, while the American version will record 30fps. I really don’t understand this insanity – why can’t this just be a menu option?
Other than that looks very nice

3 years ago |ouch, it’s expensive
too bad the G1 has no video mode, because it’s not so much bigger than de GF1…

3 years ago |I am soooo stoked! Waited on this one, and boy am I glad! The EP-1 is an incredible piece of work, but frankly I prefer the Lumix, and its possibilities…I’ve used the EP-1 it’s great, but the GF1 just “feels” like it’s going to be better…and I’m prepared to sell a 5D, and possibly my LX-3 to own this baby. Black, white, Red, no worries mate…She’s here, and she’s real! Yahooooooeeeee!
Well done guys, thank’s for all the links…the EVF, wow, it swivels!!!

From the DPReview hands-on: “…it’s a handsome camera that (thanks to the almost full metal jacket) has a quality feel. Like the E-P1 it feels dense and solid, and the fit and finish are superb…” All metal and every bit as sturdy as the EP-1. Sounds pretty good to me.

3 years ago |Thanks Lucy.
I must of missed that in the DPReview hands-on review. That certainly makes it seem even better than I thought. My fear was that their claims of it being light-weight may have meant lots of plastic, but I guess the weight they quote doesn’t include lenses like the E-P1 and G11. I just wish the UK prices would be confirmed and availabaility dates. I want one now!!

3 years ago |so what’s going to be announced by Olympus?

3 years ago |I think I still like the E-P1 more. But the external EVF is very neat.
I hope that there is be an External EVF out for E-P2, and if that work for E-P1 as well, that will be awesome!!

3 years ago |Compact looks and very sweet, yes, but can you put an Oly E-P1 or a Panny GF1 in your pocket? No you can’t and thus I cannot see why I should live with the shortcomings of the two and not hang the much better G1 or GH1 on my shoulder.

3 years ago |Great camera! Pana seems to be on the right path.
unfortunately the europe version records only 720p25. Is that caused by hardware limitations? Or can we expect a firmware update that brings us real 720p50 in the near future? No build-in OIS – as you predicted – is another issue for me.
Thanks guys for that great side. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming rumors….

3 years ago |EP1 and GF1 – both are gorgeous, but i think my choice would be ep1 due to inbody is, but evf and focusing speed are so tempting…so why i am waiting for ep2 (it is very frustrating to see ep1 in shop’s showcase), then will see what is my choice.
btw 7D is on right path with selectable fps, when this will become default? also, wth is with that 60fps, when sensor is just 30fps? what’s the problem with these marketing games.

3 years ago |Just ordered the kit with 20mm from Vistek.ca. Only the black version was listed but that’s perfect for me.
Price in Canada is steeper then expected (when you factor in conversion with US we pay 100$+ more…) but I couldn’t resist…
However it’s strange, the price for the EVF is the same in CAD as in USD (200$ CAD).
