You can now print a Olympus EE-1 hotshoe adapter for RRS BOEM Rail

printed

It’s always cool to see some new accessory you can have via 3D home printer! 43rumors reader Kabe created this hotshoe adapter:

This is an adapter that provides a hotshoe – or rather cold shoe – on the left side in front of the camera to hold a red dot – specifically the EE-1 from Olympus. It needs to be attached on a BOEM modular base plate from Really Right Stuff (tested only with the Olympus variants for the Olympus OM-D M1, M5, M5.2).
Note that you have to attach the EE-1 before attaching the adapter to the BOEM rail, the upside of this is that the EE-1 is unlikely to get completely out of the adapter.
When used with the tripod adapter of the 300/4, you’ll need to rotate the adapter before attaching the lens. The EE-1 touches the adapter slightly in that scenario.
Olympus, Really Right Stuff, OM-D, EE-1, BOEM are all brands and trademarks belonging to their respective owners.
