Black, and brown Panasonic G3 in Stock.
The Black G3 with 14-42mm lens is in Stock at Amazon (Click here). And so is the Brown G3 with 14-42mm lens at Amazon (Click here).
And today I noticed another small price drop on the Olympus XZ-1 at Amazon (Click here). Look like every day the price is dropping by $3-$4! My guess is that the upcoming E-PM1 will be priced at around $499 and the XZ-1 needs to be cheaper than that camera.
Reminder: The Panasonic 100-300mm lens is available for $513 only at Amazon (Click here).

11 months ago |Hi all,
Finally I got it…
By fortune, I went to my local Saturn dealer here in Germany Friday evening…And
What a surprise, he had at least 3 G3 (2 kit red and brown and one black body only)… I asked him when he will receive the black kit, and five minutes later + a call to another subsidiary later he was able to confirm that he should be able to receive kit the day after (today)… Excited, I ask for the price and the answer is 650€… Just the time for me to cancel my pre-order on Amazon (700€) and here am I today with my brand new camera…
I took some photos inside my flat, with quite low ambiant light and I am really happy with the results (I am coming from the compact side of the moon)… I need some time to read the user manual and to get acquainted with the camera but possibilities sounds amazing…
By the way my Saturn dealer had also a GH2 camera
The G3 Kit is still not available at amazon.de and .fr

11 months ago |Well i like it but…
Im here from the uk , went to John lewis uk on Saturday , and had a look at the G3 , and after 30 mins I put the camera down and walked away.
As a person with Normal size hands the G3 was very difficult to hold and when i tried to focus in macro mode in a shop , it really did struggle.
But idealy it needs taking outside and trying , but overall , not sure if it was another gimmick from panasonic?
As i walked away they had a GF1 reduced to clear in the glass cabinet , so ill prob be heading off soon to buy that at £300 bargain!
Thanks

When I want to shoot macro I use a macro lens. I’ve shot interiors in very low light today with everything from the 20/1.7 to the legacy 4/3 9-18, hardly the fastest, and haven’t missed a focus yet. If you understand CDAF you will get good accurate focusing every time.
With the size I can see a legitimate issue but everyone loves the GF1 and Oly variations with little to no grip so you shoot similarly with this. You change/adapt your shooting hold a bit. For me its a great combination of my G1 and GF1.

I think he/she means the zoom in manual focus assist system that panny uses because there’s no split screen. I find it fine for static subjects, although I’d really appreciate it being frame within frame in the VF so I can maintain the composition at the same time.
The size for me is an ergonomic minimum, but it still works; your description of a combo of the G1/GF1 rings true to me, as well as having the fast AF of the GH2. I’ve not pixel peeked to see whether I think the sensor is better or what than previous models, all I can say is like the output so far.
