You missed the GF1 + 20mm kit on 15th place.

But a very strange thing: where is the E-PL1? Doesn’t Amazon sell it? Do people buy them elsewhere? I find it very hard to believe that the E-3 sells more frequently than the E-PL1…

The permanence and position in the ranking of Olympus DSLR(s) prove that the sales would be much greater if they had not stopped their production.

I don’t know if it change a lot of things, but in France, Amazon is one of the most expensive shop for the m4/3 cameras… I bought mine weeks ago… on an other website, and I saved something like 80 euros.

At least for Amazon US, the E-PL1 is only displayed under the “Micro Four Thirds” category and not under the DSLR category. It has spent a lot of time recently at #1, but at the time of this posting is now #3 behind two GF1 kits.

Still makes me wonder why Amazon gave m43 it’s own category and why the E-PL1 isn’t under the DSLR category like the GF1 and the other PEN’s are. Also, the Panasonic G series isn’t under the m43 category.

    ??????

One problem is that the spread isn’t really clear with that category on Amazon. Partially because if there are 6 vendors offering kits on a camera or one variant has 4 colors and the other has only 1, the latter will show up higher even if the sum of the 4 colors is a higher #.

This page shows a slightly better look at how the various m43 offerings stack up, though obviously actual volumes are still far from obvious and whether there are big deltas between the top sellers: http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/electronics/2322738011/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_e_1_4_last

Gah. I didn’t notice the URL was the exact same. Still as Matt says its an issue with how Amazon lists things. It makes the relative #s of the different cameras unclear.

Its very telling however that m43 has its own category now.
