2 years ago |It is a great lens and worth the $960 I paid for it a year ago, so grab it at $792. It does not have OIS, but it is WIDE ANGLE, so why they want to built in OIS now is something of a mystery.

2 years ago |Damn! You guys are lucky over there… here in Europe its almost double the price. Still around 1000 EUROS :/ I almost could fly to the states buy the lens and fly back home for 1000 EUROS. Maybe I should just do that…

Mr Hipsta
2 years ago |Price is double? Not really. I live in in Europe (Sweden) and the price over here for the GF2 including the 14 mm kitlens is $909 (€667) including 25% sales tax. Now most photographers (like myself) are self employed and have a company and since outgoing sales tax is reduced from incoming sales tax the actual price I would pay is $728 (€534)! Shiping not included.
Sales tax does not work the same way in European countries as in the US, where sales tax are only reduced for resellers who need a special licence to buy products without tax.
