A new reworked Rodenstock f/0.75 from jjeying
The eBay reseller “jieying-usa” made the second reworked Rodenstock 50mm f/0.75 for Micro Four Thirds (he already made one lens a few months ago). It fits on your camera without the need of an adapter. The lens focuses from 3ft to infinity. Wide open, images are very soft but unlike C-mount lenses the circle covers the full m43 size. You can see a few image samples on Flickr.

3 years ago |its an interesting idea modifying a legacy lens to a direct mount. it saves the hassle to find the right adapter which is tight enough preventing any flex between lens & body. I am having this problem right now with my metabones adapter

I had a Kowa 55/1.0 with a similar modification and was glad that the transaction could be reversed. It looks pretty cool when attached to a mFT camera and gives some interesting effects but nothing more.

3 years ago |yeah, i was actually thinking about the higher grade legacy lenses such as certain fast M mount lenses from voigtlander. I own the nokton 50 1.1 and its an awesome lens, but at 1.1 its very tricky to get the focus right when the adapter shows some flex

3 years ago |I want a fast lens as much as the next guy, but this thing looks too soft to be very useful. If it was cheap I might get it to play around with, but for the asking price it just doesn’t make sense.
